Let’s open up the Inse S6P. Simple packaging, nothing over the top. You have a picture of the vacuum on top and the sides list the features.

I’m kind of excited to try this one out as these are supposed to give Dyson a run for the money.

Opening the box, we have the manual, a long crevice nozzle, I like the accent blue colour on the release button.

Ah this is the 8 cell 2500 mAh Lithium ion battery and the Sp6 provides two of them. Will have to look for the second one within the box.

This is the main motorized cleaner head, it has a carpet brush pre installed. As the name suggests it is powered and rotates pulling in any dirt. The connector on the end can move in all directions, making it easy to clean hard to reach areas. The wheels make it easy to move around keeping the head straight. A line of LED’s can be found in the front, which illuminates the cleaning path.

Here’s the second battery, we have two batteries as opposed to only one on the N5 model. This allows us to always have a battery charged and ready when one depletes.

This is the charger with a barrel port, this is used to charge the batteries.

And here’s the main star, the Inse S6P. Not that heavy, we have the start stop trigger here. The dustbin looks quite big.

Attachments just snap on, easily. If you need more reach use the flexible hose or the retractable metal tube. Nice.

This is how the retractable metal tube extends and retracts, you need to press the button here and it can be extended like so and the same way retracted. This is so nice, as the tube is always in reach and you can just extend it when required. No need to run for a ladder to clean high places anymore.

Press the start stop button to initiate cleaning. You don’t need to hold it down, it starts off with a standard mode, press the trigger again and it shifts to Strong mode.

We can see the power level displayed using the LED’s on top. You can cycle between the power modes using the button on top too.

The 250 watt brushless motor provides 12 kPa in standard mode which is good for everyday cleaning, and in strong mode 23 kPa of suction power which is good for carpets and upholstery.

Clean the house, the car, loft anywhere as you are not tethered to a plug point.

It comes with two battery packs which is really good considering the price of the vacuum.

80 minutes of vacuum time is promised in standard mode which is 40 minutes on each battery, and similarly 40 minutes total in max mode.

The battery needs to be charged using the adapter provided, and not needing to be in the vacuum while charging is a boon. One battery can always be charged while you’re cleaning. Do note it takes 5 hours for a battery to reach full capacity. So don’t expect full capacity when switching batteries while cleaning. But 80 minutes seems to be ample time to clean. We have three lights on the battery, when completely charged all three lights stay lit, when charging the led’s blink. On blinking low battery, two medium and three ¾ full. All lit up , battery full.

The battery level can be monitored on the vacuum looking at these 3 bars on top.

Dust bin can hold about 1.2 litres of dirt and dust and is removable, washable and can be emptied easily using this release button on the bottom.

Just line it up with the dustbin and hit the button. There it’s as easy as that.

There is a 6 stage filtration system sealed within. It doesn’t have a HEPA filter but it is designed to get rid of dust mites, pollen and other small debris. The filter is also washable and reusable. If you do wash them, make sure to dry them completely before inserting them back into the vacuum.

The motorized head can rotate 90 degrees up and down and 180 degrees sideways and it allows moves like this under the sofa and other hard to reach places.

The led’s in front light up which helps with cleaning under dark areas such as the couch, beds.

This is how you can change between the hard brush and the soft brush.

Remove this tab on the side, replace brush and install it back. There, done.

If you have pet, the Inse s6p is powerful enough to pick up hair from carpets and couches, bread crumbs and also works well on upholstery.

The motorized mini brush can be used on sofas and upholstery for a better cleaning. It follows the contour of your furniture making it have a good seal, getting the best suction.

Noise levels are around 65 db, definitely audible.

Weight is 1.5 kg so not the lightest, but not that heavy either as compared to other handheld vacuums.

I’m not wall mounting the vacuum,

but this is how it can be stored on the floor.

The performance is quite good and the inclusion of two battery packs in the package is a blessing. With an assortment of nozzles and brushes and not being that heavy makes everyday cleaning easier.

Ok that was the good, what are the cons.

First things first, the build is fine, there are some finish issues like this mark here. Doesn’t look as premium as the Dyson, but works almost as well for half the price. The start and stop is just on and off and cannot be controlled as in the Dyson, it cycles through the two modes when the trigger is pressed before turning off. This removes a bit of control when we need more precise activation of the vacuum. But this is just nit-picking, as I’ve noticed most newer models of handheld vacuums have continuous activation as opposed to Dysons start stop instantly when the trigger is pressed. People might like the Inse’s not having to hold down the trigger better.

So, what do I think about it, it works great, two batteries provided is a boon. Build quality could have been better but it is understandable at this price point.

I would totally recommend it if you are on the lookout for a handheld cordless vacuum cleaner. It works well, good battery life and nothing much to complain about. If you want a lower price there is the N5 model available which only has one battery and is missing the hose attachment, but most of the features are present.
